Elections and Personnel Committee Meeting
Yuma International Airport, Conference Room
Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM

    Call to Order:
    The Yuma County Airport Authority, Inc. (YCAA) Elections and Personnel Committee Meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order at 11:00AM on September 18, 2023, in the Yuma International Airport Conference Room, 2191 E. 32nd Street, Suite 218, Yuma, Arizona 85365. The Presiding officer was Reetika Dhawan, Committee Chairwoman.

    YCAA ELECTIONS AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT WERE:
    Reetika Dhawan, Chairwoman & YCAA Director (joined the meeting via Zoom)
    Dean Hager, 1st Vice President

    YCAA ELECTIONS AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT WERE:
    William Fox, Director

    ALSO PRESENT WERE:
    Bill Craft, President
    Ken Scott, Director
    Gladys Brown, Airport Director
    Gabby Reyes, Finance and HR Manager

    CALL TO THE PUBLIC
    There were no Public Comments.

    REGULAR AGENDA
    1) Discussion, possible recommendation, and update on advertisement and procedures for the vacancies on the YCAA Board of Directors.

    Ms. Brown, Airport Director, explained this upcoming year (2024), the YCAA has two Directors up for re-election, Director Fox and Director Torres, who have expressed their desire to be placed on the ballot for consideration. Director Eric Saltzer has exhausted all three of his three-year terms. As a result, there are three seats to fill. One vacant seat to fill and two others that have incumbents running for re-election. She then went over the timeline.

    Ms. Brown, Airport Director, described the Committee’s role in the election process, which is established in the Authority’s By-Laws. application, the vetting process, and the informational presentation available to interested parties.

    The Committee concluded that the application, advertising process and the advertisement met the needs of the YCAA.

    ADJOURNMENT
    There being no further business before the Committee the meeting adjourned at 11:10AM.
