Budget Committee Meeting

Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 12:00 PM
Call to Order:
The Yuma County Airport Authority, Inc. (YCAA) of the Budget Committee Meeting was called to order at 12:00 PM on 08/12/2010 in the Yuma International Airport Conference Room, 2191 E. 32nd Street, Suite 218, Yuma, Arizona 85365. The Committee Chairman was Edward Whitehead.
YCAA MEMBERS PRESENT WERE:

Mikel Smith, Director
ALSO PRESENT WERE:
Mr. Williams, Airport Director
Gerald Hinkle, Jr., Chief Financial Officer
Gladys Wiggins, Airport Operations Director
Gen Grosse, Corporate Account Manager
Andrea Lopez, Executive Assistant
Doug Pearson, 1st Bank Yuma
REGULAR AGENDA
1) Discussion and Possible Recommendation to the YCAA Board of Directors to adopt the projected budget for FY 2011
Mr. Hinkle reviewed the budget line by line and answered several questions from committee members.
He explained that our budget is calculated by first estimating our revenue for the coming year. Next we calculate our expenses to exactly match that revenue. By law, we cannot operate with a surplus.
The Committee reviewed the proposed budget in depth and approved each aspect of the financial plan and the proposed rent increases.
After much discussion the unanimous conclusion of the committee was to recommend that the Board of Directors approve the FY 2011 budget as presented.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Committee, Mr. Smith made a motion to adjourn Ms. Rhea seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. The meeting adjourned at 1:04PM
