Call to Order:
CALL TO ORDER
The Yuma County Airport Authority, Inc. (YCAA) Community and Government Relations Committee was called to order at 4:00 PM on Dec 8, 2009 in the Yuma International Airport Conference Room, 2191 E. 32nd Street, Suite 218, Yuma, Arizona 85365. The Presiding officer was Robert McLendon, Chairman.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Regular Agenda

1) Discussion on the topic of hiring a lobbyist for the Airport

Mr. Williams briefed that a recurring question with the Airport's Board of Directors (and with the City, County and other Yuma organizations) revolves around the use of a Washington DC lobbyist. To help us understand some of the factors involved Mr. Pat Mitchell, a Washington Lobbyist, originally from Yuma, will provide some insight into what a lobbyist could do for us.

Airport Staff meet with Mr. Mitchell early Monday afternoon and provide him with the Airport's strategic vision.

After a lengthy discussion he committee felt that it would be a good idea to revisit this question early next year. No further action is planned at this time.

There being no further business before the committee the meeting adjourned at 5:09PM.
