Call to Order:
CALL TO ORDER
The Yuma County Airport Authority, Inc. (YCAA) Budget Committee Meeting was called to order at 12:00 PM on May 27, 2010 in the Yuma International Airport Conference Room, 2191 E. 32nd Street, Suite 218, Yuma, Arizona 85365. The Presiding officer was Ed Whitehead, Chairman.

REGULAR AGENDA
Discussion and recommendation to the YCAA Board to approve Amendment 1 of the YCAA Annual Budget
Mr. Williams suggested that a "field trip" had been arranged to allow the Directors to inspect the areas that our budget overages had gone into. Mr. Hinkle took the Directors on a tour of the Airport.
After the tour the Committee reconvened in the conference room.
Mr. Gresser joined the Committee as an observer.
Mr. Williams briefly recapped the general condition of the budget. He explained that in addition to the amounts presented, the last two days had created two new requirements. First, was an opportunity to repave the access road from Burch to the Yuma Pilot Center. During our effort to crack seal and seal coat the road we discovered the road had degraded too much for even that. It was agreed that it would be very nice to repave that area as part of the Yuma Pilot Center project. The anticipated cost is $30,000.
Second, Boeing has asked for one more facility in the West VAL to accommodate their testing needs. Staff feels that over the next 12 months it will be possible to generate enough revenue from the facility to cover that cost.
Ms. Rhea made a motion to Motion to recommend approval of the Budget Amendment to the YCAA Board of Directors with an addition of $55,000 as requested by staff. Mr. Whitehead seconded the motion.
On the call for any further discussion Mr. Gardner called for an additional amendment to the proposed budget to increase the amount as necessary to cover the cost of the Beam Speed internet connection in the Pilot's Lounge. Currently various pilots are paying for that out of their own pockets. Mr. Gardner said the cost was about forty dollars a month. There was no second to Mr. Gardner's amendment.
After some discussion, it was agreed that for the next few months the airport would pick up that cost outside of the budget amendment to see if when the Pilot Center opens, there may no longer be a need for the Pilot's Lounge. Mr. Gardner modified his amendment accordingly. Mr. Whitehead seconded the amendment. The vote was unanimous.

There being no further business before the Committee the meeting adjourned at 1:43PM.
